According the Oxford dictionary cake is An item of soft sweet food made from a mixture of flour, fat, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients,baked and sometimes iced or decorated.
To me cake is mouthfuls of heaven that make you smile, take away and problem or stress, designed to be eaten alone or with friends, on birthdays, on Mondays on Sundays, for breakfast, for lunch or a pre or post dinner snack. (If only the calories didn’t count)
Award winning Belles Patisserie invited the sweet toothed delicious people of Jozi to share in a morning of cupcakes, cookies and cronuts.
Trays of heavenly delights floated around Belles in Blubird tempting the taste buds of everyone. Will power was not on anyone’s sides as we fell into temptation and tasted every morsel as they passed by! (well worth extra time on the treadmill).
Spotted among the tiered cakes and trays of cronuts where the fabulous people of Styling Concepts, PR Queen Lorraine Maisel,my gorgeous friend Shashi Naidoo, Lover all things pretty Irina Doman, Lloyd from through my eyes and Jozi’s colourful boys Alan and Krishen.
