Looking back at my clothes, I think my love for Diesel was my first true “fashion love”. I remember when there were very limited stores and my parents would bring me back Diesel items from overseas. The assistants in the stores used to know me and my style and they used to put stock away for me knowing that I would love it. The denims are timeless and I still have pairs in my cupboard that are over 15 years old. They have worn in the right places, and are still in perfect condition. Diesel are my go to jeans and I cant even count the pairs I have on both hands. My latest addition to my collection took place in my cupboard about 2 months ago. In my shopping escapades I always go into Diesel to see what they have, they make street style effortless and chic.

Then Boom… they launch a new concept in Cape Town ( I couldn’t go to the event, really upset about that).Diesel chose the V&A Waterfront to debut its new retail design concept in South Africa and celebrated with an exclusive in-store event .The new concept perfectly captures the expression of the brand’s alternative to luxury positioning. Guests were spoilt with a selection of beautifully crafted footwear and accessories, iconic fashion garments and of course, a wide selection of denim, where the emphasis is on the quality and mastery of the brand.

Store design features include a wooden engineered floor, customized chandeliers and Foscarini lamps. Luxurious brown, black and white leather combined with industrial black metal fixtures in various finishes, perfectly highlight the contrast between antique and technologically advanced features of the store. It is the perfect expression of the brand’s alternative to luxury positioning.

The store boasts a lavish seated area for customers to admire beautifully crafted footwear and accessories. State of the art fitting rooms create a tranquil yet premium ambience where customers are free to transform themselves.
I cannot wait to be in Cape Town next week to finally check out the store and have a little shop!!

This is exactly what happens, my life gets so busy and exciting and once again my blog takes a bit of a back seat. Since the last time I was here I have been to London, Dubai, Back to London, a few events and nights out. So i’m going to catch up by working my way back.
Last night we saw Goldstreet celebrate 2 years by hosting a killer street fashion show outside the store in Newtown Junction. Yainni and Stef Crease along with business partner Francois Hougaard out on a stellar show with the latest collection. Showing the best of street style Jozi has to offer.

Models showed off over sized tee’s, killer bombers and hoodies in shades of the winters hottest colours to the FROW filled will the Crease Family, Vicky looking insane in a fur coat. Other “FROWer’s” included Jesse Kriel, Annabell, Aspia and MJ.
I think that every piece of the collection would fit in perfectly in my wardrobe, my 2 have to have pieces are the mink three quarter sleeve hoodie and the 2 piece black and grey set .

Big up to the Boys!
My first London trip for the year is just in a few hours and I cannot wait to get onto the plane. This exciting project came about over a conversation and a YouTube clip. The idea was to make a YouTube clip. The first question was where and when? The more important questions is what? What were we going to film to make this video?
Easy, everything! Everything London has to offer in a space of 24 Hours. We land, we go, we go some more and then when we think we have done enough we find something more to do. I always say this, London is a place you will never get bored. There is always something to see and do and this trip will prove it. Bus Trips, London Eye and the Brit Awards
So follow me on Instagram and twitter, @Dazza_J , and see what we get up to. Get involved by also following @VirginAtlantic. Be part of the trip and get involved.
It’s time to awaken to true spirit of Virgin Atlantic, we are doers, we are thinkers, we are adventurers.
We stay clear of the beaten track; we create our own lives and memories to last a life time. We have a zest for life, looking for new experiences, going to life.

Source: Packing is a fine art!
I have blogged about this on my page before, on other blogs and given my tips to magazines. With the amount of traveling I do, I think I have finally got my packing down to a tee.
Before I started working at virgin Atlantic I would throw things into a bag without even planning and then throw extra just in case. Now my packing isn’t done until everything is completely worked out, a plan of action is in place!
The planning process actually takes longer than packing but when you jet off it’s all done and ready saving you time and headaches when you get there.
Here is a sneak peak into what happens. Tomorrow I am off to London, for 1 night, yes one night, 2 days but that requires 4 outfit changes, then off to Dubai for a week, where its work but it often turns into a bit of a social meeting with my friends from the rest of the world. In London I keep it simple, it’s black, more black, planned black topped off with black. Black always makes someone look stylish, and in London everyone is way more stylish than us down in SA!Every outfit is planned from head to toe and I do not or rather cannot change my mind. It also allows me that extra 10 Minute sleep in.

Here’s a snap of my plan, the whole outfit goes into the bag together, then when I reach my destination, all unpacked, on hangers in the bathroom with the shower on full, so it gives it a steam for me.

Il keep you up to date on the trip, this one is going to be an exciting one. Check in tomorrow where I will let you know what’s happening!
See, this is what happens, I get busy, life gets manic and I have no time to blog… but the iPad is back so no excuses!
(Writing this while flying over SA)
This is the first time I have been on a plane in 2016 and the excitement never gets old, yes it’s only Cape Town , but it’s still somewhere!
I am lucky enough that I do get to travel often and all over the world, but even before I starred working at Virgin Atlantic I had dreams off seeing the world.
I was talking to a friend the other day about traveling and the joy you get from it, the feeling of a foreign place, the way your heart skips a beat when the wheels touchdown, the excitement of exploring a city no matter how many times you have been there!
Do you know what I am confused about?the people that don’t feel this, the lack of wanderlust. It breaks my heart that people don’t want to see what’s out there. There is only so much one can grow being stuck in one place. It’s like a pot plant, the plant will never grow to its full potential if it’s never taken out of the pot and planted in a bigger one, in a flowered.I’m not asking that people go all over the world, I’m asking people to just get a passport, take the first step. Get in the car and drive somewhere. See new places, try new things.
My big boss, Sir Richard Branson once said “there isn’t a flight that goes by when I don’t stare out the window and thank my stars for what I am seeing and feeling”. I agree with him, I love that feeling!
