Scotch and Soda, Dominate #MHStyle event

Pretty much one of my favourite events to go to each year is the #MHSTYLE Men’s Health Menswear event.

They just get it right, they know what men want!
Great Venue: check
Great people: check
Great vibe: check
Flowing drinks: check
AMAZING CLOTHES: DOUBLE CHECK

What they get right is the amount of collections for the show, there is nothing worse than getting dressed up for an event to see 10 people walk down a ramp, to 1 song and the guess what, the show is over leaving you longing for more!

The brands that showed at the event were endless, Polo, Superdry, Mr Price, Scotch and Soda…. I can go on, but that wont be necessary, because there was one collection that caught my eye and made me pretty much forget about everything else walking down.

That would be Scotch and Soda… all I can say is PERFECTION!
I have a slight obsession with this brand, its all just insane!! Ready to wear insanity! It’s the perfect combination of stylish and easy to wear, chic and classy, comfort and fashion!

The Start of Summer Fashion!!

Wow, sorry it’s been a while, but I’m back… I have been crazy busy, from my normal 9-5 and then busy after that and weekends! It’s all been pretty manic, but exciting.

Someone said (I think it’s from the Sound of Music), Let’s start at the very beginning it’s a very good place to start! I have to go through my Instagram feed to remember the order of things!
Last week was a crazy week but lots of fun!

My Wednesday night started off at the launch of Europa Art’s new season, Make Summer Yours … listen, this is where I agree with most ladies, you can never have enough shoes! Trust me Europa art most defiantly can help any man or lady out with that!

Not only were the shoes amazing, but what better way to try them on than sipping on champagne and eating macaroons (best macaroons I have ever had). This is not a lie, the gift bags were amazing! Shoe voucher and lots more! I would have been perfectly happy with just the shoe vouchers.
Cant wait to return and have a shop!! Thank you to the gorgeous Melina and Vicki!

Topshop events are always great, cool people, cool clothes and a chilled vibe, its like shopping with your best mate. Topshop is one of my 1st stops on the high street, and a regular when visiting Sandton… I must admit that I love there button up shirts, the fit, material and comfort are perfect, I have one in every colour, and 3 or more in white. I’m a sucker for a button up white shirt, and with summer coming up they perfect for the beach, pool party, Parkhurst lunch and a night out ! The perfect white shirt, without breaking the bank!

Meggings… My trend obsession

The growing trend of active wear and general workout clothes blending, not only practical use, but fashion and individual style has found a natural home at Meggings

MEGGINGS…. YES MEGGINGS…

What are they you may ask… the best way to describe them are leggings for men, YES, you read correct… and I LOVE them!!
As the 21st century man becomes both more metrosexual and well-groomed, the once well-defined gender fashion barrier is slowly eroding.
“Male fashion is becoming more extreme on the catwalk and the high street ( London terminology) is evolving to keep up.

Meggings are all over the catwalk…

It’s not a trend that every guy will jump at, not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you wear them I applaud you… I think meggings are one of those trends that say “ I don’t care what you think I’m going to wear them anyway”.

There are a few fashion forward people I follow and look up to on Instagram and the day I ordered my meggings I saw Apostolos Andreas and Trevor Ntombela rocking theirs…find them on Instagram, these guys know style…. @apostolos¬_andreas and @trevor_itboy, another man that also kills the meggings trend is Brett Rogers, better known as @BRRROGERS, he killed meggings at the AugustineGold launch.

Blue Monday

Just because its blue doesn’t mean its a bad thing…

Yes, I always look at the latest trends, be it on a local or international scale, but I don’t always adopt the trends. there are some trends that work for me and some that don’t.

Doing my daily dose of blog and fashion reading over the last few weeks/Months… Blue had popped up every where, and I might be behind in blogging about this, but I have never really paid much attention to the “blue” trend, maybe because blue has always been one of my best colours to wear…

I like blue, but never noticed how much blue I actually wear it, until last week I noticed that I wore blue 4 out of the 5 days! Looking back at pictures i have also noticed a lot of blue in my wardrobe.
